Delivery and Installation Of Office Furniture at Your Location.

Office furniture delivery and installation is an area which is critical to our entire business model. It is also of utmost importance to us because we want our customers satisfied and happy. We are therefore committed to deliver and install our furniture at your location anywhere in India. Our dedicated installation teams are strategically stationed in various cities to cover all possible locations across India and to provide you with seamless delivery and fit out.

Packing, Shipment and Assembly.

In order to ensure safe delivery of our products we meticulously pack and wooden crate our office furniture in easy-to-install knocked down condition. The furniture is then shipped through our specialized logistics partners and door delivered at your office or site. At this point our local installation team takes over and carries out the unpacking and installation as per your requirement and hands over the products to you in mint condition.

Estimated Delivery Time.

Your order is processed immediately upon completion of the online transaction and shipped within the time frame mentioned for each product. The actual delivery depending on your location, quantity of order and the type of item being shipped may take 2-7 days. Generally the deliveries are much faster for smaller items which can be shipped through our network of courier services. On an average you can expect your deliveries well within the committed timeline.

Free Shipping.

Office furniture in general is bulky and heavy. Delivery and installation of the furniture requires elaborate packing, specialized transportation & handling and expert installation. But we do all this at no extra cost to provide you with a seamless, hassle free experience. However, for some remote locations, there may be some additional charges in order to cover some of the extra cost incurred. In any case we consider the transaction complete only when we have delivered, unpacked and installed the products at your site in a spotless condition and to your satisfaction.

Wood Veneer

Natural wood veneer is a material widely used in manufacturing of office furniture products. Simple care and maintenance techniques for the upkeep of your furniture will go a long way in making it last longer and remain in good condition. Veneer, being a natural product, needs regular cleaning and proper handling and care. If exposed to sunlight veneer will change color while covered parts will retain their shade. Certain types of veneer are harder while others are soft and can easily be scratched. It is therefore important that care is taken to avoid exposure to direct sunlight and any sharp objects. Even though veneer is coated with lacquer it is still a very delicate natural surface and just a little extra care will help you maintain its natural beauty.

Dust: Dust with a soft cloth by following the grain pattern of the wood. Dust often to remove everyday abrasive particles from wood surfaces. Before dusting, moisten cloth lightly with a spray product. A dry cloth can leave hairline scratches on the finish.

Stains: Liquids left on the surface will be absorbed and leave marks on it. It is recommended to immediately remove spills from any wooden surface. There are do-it-yourself cleaning kits for stubborn stains; however applying the wrong cleaning agent might worsen the damage. If unsure it is best to consult the manufacturer of the furniture.

Upholstery: Leather

Leather is used as the primary material in many premium office chairs and office sofas. Being a natural product, it needs little or no care during normal use. However, in the event that you have a spot or spill, the following cleaning hints should help. Spots and Spills: Blot liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. Dry with a clean towel and allow to air dry. Avoid rubbing during the cleaning process.

Stubborn Spots and Stains: Use a mild solution of ivory soap and clear, lukewarm water. Apply the soap to a clean, wet sponge, then rinse well and let air dry naturally. Always try the cleaning method in a hidden area first to be sure its color will not run or fade with washing or wear.

Butter, Oil, or Grease: Wipe off the leather area with a clean, dry cloth, then leave it alone as the spot should dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water to try to wash the stain.

Never use saddle soap, abrasive cleanser, soap, furniture polish oil, varnish or ammonia water to clean your leather products. Most liquids will be initially repelled by the leather, but if left to stand over an extended period of time, they will be absorbed.

Upholstery: Fabric

Yet another material that is used in making office chairs and sofas. The term fabric describes a number of different materials. There are natural and synthetic fibers which, according to the base material use, require different treatments. In most cases stains and spills can be removed easily; however we recommend using caution and the use of proper cleaning methods.

Vacuuming: Weekly vacuuming or light brushing helps to remove soil and prevent the embedding of dirt or grime between fibers which can increase abrasion and wear.

Stain removal: Stains on wool or cotton can be removed by using a warm cloth and if required an approved fabric shampoo. When removing stains please use caution, i.e. do not rub too hard on the fabric.

Machine washing: Certain covers may be removable and machine washable. Please check beforehand as some fabrics may shrink during the process. Never use undiluted cleaning agents, ammonia or detergent not intended for the use on fabric.

Upholstery: Vinyl

Vinyl, also known as PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is yet another material that is widely used as a substitute for leather. Because of its durability it is also common place to be used for furniture, especially in offices. Vinyl comes in infinite colors and only little care is needed to keep them fresh and lively on you furniture.

Regular cleaning: You may use a mild detergent and water. Stubborn soil can be removed by using a bristle brush. Soil may also be loosened by letting a detergent solution stand on the surface and soak for a few minutes. Act immediately when removing spills or stains from vinyl. You may use paper towels or a white cloth. Solvents should only be applied to the vinyl and be kept away from other materials such as wood or metal.

Special Cleaning: Special vinyl cleaners may help removing stubborn soil. As stains are absorbed by the vinyl, a vinyl protective finish may help protecting the upholstery. Never use abrasive cleaners as they may scratch the surface. Certain cleaners, intended for other purposes may remove plasticizers, making them brittle.

Metal Finishes: Powder coating

  • In order to protect metal surfaces we can draw on a number of different processes. Powder coating is widely used for partitions and office workstations. The coating comes in different thicknesses, according to the use and can be supplied in any color thinkable. Cleaning methods depend on the chemical composition and the fastness of the coat cleaning however the following will apply in general.
  • Regular cleaning: In order to remove dirt or stains, clear water can be used to clean powder coated surfaces. Soft, non-abrasive cloth may support the cleaning process. In general most products recommended for automotive can be used as well. Never use abrasive cleaning agents or detergents containing a large percentage of acid or alkaline. Hard bristles of brushes may also damage the surface. Steam jet cleaners are not suitable for cleaning of powder coated surfaces. It is important that both, surface and cleaning detergent are not warmer than 35 Degrees Celsius and that the powder coat is not exposed to direct sunlight during cleaning.

Metal Finishes: Chromium plating

Chrome is a blue white metal which can be used to protect metal surfaces. The coating is very durable and hard and has a brilliant luster. In certain cases satin matte plating is used which looks similar to anodized surfaces. It is used mainly in making modular workstations and office chair base. The following tips would be sufficient to keep the chromed surfaces in good condition.

Regular cleaning: In most cases a damp cloth will be sufficient to clean chromium plated surfaces. In case of gummy soil, rubbing with baking soda can help in most cases. In case sudsy water is used, please wipe the surface dry after cleaning to ensure a shiny surface.

Special Cleaning: Should there be difficult spots a special metal polish may be required. Please only use those, especially made to clean chromium plated surfaces. Never use abrasive cleaners or rough sponges as they may scratch the surface.

Metal Finishes: Anodizing

Anodizing is a process whereby aluminum oxide is grown out of the surface. An electric current is passed through an acid electrolyte bath while the aluminum is immersed in it. Dying it is also possible because of the porous nature of the anodized layer. Anodizing, therefore, is a preferred process in the manufacture of various furniture parts like office chair armrests and bases. Simple cleaning tricks will make it last for long and retain its shine.

Regular cleaning: Cleaning anodized aluminum is easy. Because anodizing is so hard, you want to use an abrasive cleaning technique with a gentle soap. Do not use harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners because they may destroy the finish. Use solvents with care as they may stain the finish. It is best to try a test area first. Special abrasive cleaning sponges can be obtained from certain vendors and these can be used in connection with mild dish washing liquid.

Laminate

Another key to good care and maintenance of your office furniture is handling the laminate surfaces right. It is the other material along with veneer which is widely used in office furniture products. Although laminate is a very durable surface but it can be stained or damaged by improper handling. A few simple tricks will ensure good life and durability to your office furniture.

Protection: Avoid mishandling of knives or other sharp tools for they may slice or scratch the surface. Although laminate can withstand high temperatures it is not recommended to place hot objects on the surface over a prolonged period of time.

Cleaning: Little care is needed. Regular cleaning can prolong its life span and beautiful appearance. In most cases all that is required is a damp cloth to remove stains. A mild non abrasive cleaner may be used. For high gloss laminate, a mild glass cleaner can be used to remove streaks. Never use cleaning agents containing acid, alkali, or sodium hypochlorite. These cleaners will mar, etch, corrode, and permanently discolor the laminate surface. Also, make sure that bottles, rags, and other materials contaminated with these cleaners never contact the laminate surface. Never use abrasive cleaners, powders or sandpaper to clean laminate surfaces. Acid based cleaners will permanently damage and stain laminate. Even some commercial self cleaning waxes may contain abrasives and are therefore not recommended.

What material do you use in making different types of furniture?

Most of our wooden furniture ranges like office desks, conference tables, cabinets etc are manufactured using the highest quality of E1 grade MDF, hard wood and natural wood veneer that impart a rich and luxurious look and feel to the furniture. There are also some product ranges that are made with laminates instead of veneer. (Read the section below to know more about laminates and veneers and other materials) The material used in our upholstered furniture like chairs and sofas ranges from high quality genuine leather to fabrics to artificial leather in some cases.

What is MDF?

Medium density fiber board (MDF) is a high grade, composite material that performs better than solid wood in many areas. Made from recycled wood fibers and resin, MDF is machine dried and pressed to produce dense, dimensionally stable sheets. Its smooth, controlled surface allows it to be easily painted, carved, rounded and applied with wood veneers and is a world standard for manufactured furniture.

Why MDF and why not solid wood?

Isn’t solid wood the best choice? This is a question we’re frequently asked and you may be surprised that the answer is “not necessarily.”

Often used as a substitute for hardwoods, MDF or medium density fiber board is generally believed to be a lower quality material. However, in many cases MDF is actually stronger and more stable than hardwoods. Since it’s an engineered material with no natural grain, it can be used without worry of cracks or splitting. Because it’s easily worked by saw, MDF is often needed to produce the detailed curves found in highly ornamented furniture and its smooth, controlled surface allows it to be easily painted or applied with wood veneers.

Another consideration is cost; here, too, MDF is often a better value. Solid wood is often more expensive and sometimes is not as readily available. MDF’s smooth and even surface allows paint and veneer to be easily applied to it which allows it to replicate the finish of most popular hard wood designs at a lower cost. It is definitely a substitute, but one which provides a host of unique benefits which cannot be replicated by hard wood products.

What is the life and durability of your products?

What are veneers? And how are they different from laminates?

Veneers are thin layers of wood cut from a tree that give a piece a more uniform natural exterior and appearance. Because they are natural wood they are richer and luxurious in their look and feel than a laminate which is an artificial substitute.

Not just the pretty face of your wood furniture, veneers can enhance durability while allowing you to create a consistent look in your office. Applied to the surface of other wood materials, Veneers can also increase the life of a piece by preventing the wood from expanding and contracting. Caused by changes in temperature, this contraction can cause solid wood to split over time. Since veneers are glued in strips of opposing grain patterns, they help stabilize the wood and prevent it from shrinking. The end result is a durable, high-quality piece that looks great.

Yes. In order to provide superior customer experience it is a constant and ongoing endeavour on our part to deliver and install at your location anywhere in India. However installation and delivery may not be available for certain locations and for certain products due to multiple reasons. Can I assemble the products myself?

All our products are packed and shipped in easy-to-install knocked down condition. They can be self assembled or may require a little bit of assistance which your local carpenter can easily do with the help of the instruction manuals that comes with all the products. However, for larger items, larger quantities and projects we have our team to deliver and install across India. A nominal fee may be charged depending on your location and the size of the order. Can I place an order for items that are not in stock? What is the delivery period for such orders?

Sometimes a product may be out of stock or may not be immediately available. For such products you have the option of paying a 60% advance and placing an order. Our delivery periods range from 4 to 8 weeks depending on the quantity and the type of products being ordered. Call us for further details on order and delivery details of the specific product.

What is the delivery lead time for customized pre-orders?

A lead time of 6 to 8 weeks is required for such orders.

Cancellation and Returns

Can I cancel an order?

Unless cancelled on the same day cancellation are not allowed once an order is placed.

What if I receive a damaged product or if the product is different from the one ordered?

If you have received a product that is damaged or is different from the one you ordered please notify us immediately by calling our customer care numbers. If the complaint is genuine and legitimate we will initiate a replacement immediately. We require that the following terms and conditions are complied with when returning a product that needs to be replaced.

  • An immediate replacement will be provided in case of the product having any manufacturing defect or damage.
  • In the event of non availability of replacement we will process a full refund within seven days of receipt of the returned item.
    The product should be unused.
  • We will pick up a product that you wish to return from your doorstep; however locations where we do not have reverse pick up facility, we may request you to self-ship the product to us in its original packing.
  • Returns against the damaged/defective product will be accepted only if notified within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Refunds will be processed within a maximum of 7 business days of receipt of the product provided goods are received in acceptable condition. The mode of refund will be based on the mode of payment chosen at the time of placing the order.
  • The returned products are subject to verification and checks by Boss’s Cabin in order to determine the legitimacy of the complaint. If the complaint is not legitimate the product cannot be returned.

Is my card detail and account information stored or shared with others by Boss’s Cabin?

At Boss’s Cabin we are committed to providing you your ordered products in mint condition without any defects or damages. Our products are therefore elaborately and carefully packed/crated and thoroughly inspected at the pre-shipment stage for any manufacturing defect or damage. However in the rare event of transit damage or a manufacturing defect we will gladly and promptly replace the item upon receiving such intimation. In the event of a replacement not being available a full refund will be processed within seven days of receipt of the returned item.

In order to return a product we require that the following terms and conditions are complied with.

  • Returns are only accepted for any kind of damage or manufacturing defect.
  • An immediate replacement will be provided in case of the product having any manufacturing defect or damage.
  • Only in the event of non availability of replacement we will process a return and refund the full amount within seven days of receipt of the returned item.
  • The product should be unused.
  • The product should be unpacked and installed by Boss’s Cabin authorized persons only. Return or replacement will not be allowed if the packing is self-opened and product is self-installed unless agreed by us.
  • We will pick up a product that you wish to return from your doorstep. However locations where we do not have reverse pick up facility, we may request you to self-ship the product to us in its original packing.
  • Return or replacement against damaged/defective product will be accepted only if notified immediately upon delivery or installation.
  • Refunds will be processed within a maximum of 7 business days of receipt of the product provided goods are received in acceptable condition. The mode of refund will be based on the mode of payment chosen at the time of placing the order.
  • Claim for return or replacement is subject to verification and checks by Boss’s Cabin in order to determine the legitimacy of the complaint. If the complaint is not legitimate the product cannot be returned.
  • Orders once placed can be cancelled provided the cancellation is done within 24 hours of the order placement. A transaction fee of 2.5% will be deducted and refund will be initiated for the balance amount immediately and will reflect in your account within 7-10 business days.
